The story behind the stories

What if the ordinary became extraordinary?

“Sometimes the best stories begin with a wonderfully strange question.”

What if a stuffed animal came to life? What if a familiar Bible story made you laugh before it made you think? What if the next book opened a whole new world? That's the kind of curiosity these stories celebrate.

Meet the storyteller

Hi, I'm Daniel.

I'm Daniel L. Davis, an author and illustrator who loves telling stories full of imagination, adventure, humor, and heart.

I've spent more than two decades working with young people, and I love finding creative ways to help stories come alive. Some of my books invite children into worlds where stuffed animals have extraordinary adventures. Others use humor and illustration to help readers see familiar Bible stories with fresh eyes.

Whether I'm writing or drawing, my hope is simple: make readers curious, bring a smile to their faces, and give them something worth remembering.
